With the craziness of this semester, I’ve dealt with so many different thoughts and emotions, ranging from anxiety to feelings of depression, and even sometimes anger. I think every college student feels that at some point in the semester. Whether you’re taking a full load, going part time while working, or doing both full-time school and full-time work, it can get easy to lose your mind (or at least feel like you’re losing it) with all the deadlines, stress, exams, papers, and so on.

Well, while taking a break from studying and browsing Pinterest, I came across a nice little, year-long project. I know, “little” and “year-long” sound like total opposites, but it works here. It’s called a thankfulness jar – well that’s what I call it, I can’t remember if it had a name on Pinterest or not. What you do is you write down the good things that happen throughout the year and put them in the jar as they happen; and then, at the end of the year, you open up the jar and take all the little pieces of paper out and reflect on all the good things that happened. There’s nothing to it, and it just takes less than a minute of your time everyday to do.

Here’s mine:
Made a thankfulness jar

It really helps put things into perspective, especially when you’re having a bad day. Try it! See what happens šŸ™‚
